Children's
Ministries
Providing quality care and activities for preschoolers and children is a
top priority for us at First Baptist Church London. Our little ones receive special
attention, instruction, nurturing and love. Each child is surrounded by God's love
through caring adults. Through a rich offering of organized programs all year long, we
strive to share God's grace, joy, and love in a meaningful way.

Services for the following age groups: Bed Babies, Toddlers, 2-year olds, 3-year olds and Special Needs.
Sunday School
Sunday School is to teach our children, on
their level, about faith, Jesus, and how to have a personal relationship with Him. We
purpose to teach them who Jesus is, what He did for them, and how they can accept Him as
their Savior.
Children's Choir
A variety of musical opportunities awaits youth at
First
Baptist Church London. We have a focus of teaching music as worship and outreach, as well as
presentation skills for performance. This is done through hymn memory, presentations in
worship services, outreach to the community and special musical presentations.
Handbells
This group focuses on the basic fundamentals of beginning to
ring. Note recognition and rhythm are key concepts for this group. This
group is open to children beginning in 3rd grade through middle school. Children learn
music reading skills as well as learning to play the bells. This group plays frequently
in
worship.

Kid's Own Worship
Each Sunday, children begin the 10:40 worship service in the
sanctuary with their parents. Just before the sermon, (usually
during a hymn), children ages 4 - 3rd grade meet in the lobby and
are escorted to classrooms to begin Kid's Own Worship. Each week
there is an object lesson, a time of singing, a craft or a story.
The children have a great time, and it allows a better worship time for parents and
older children. All you have to do is watch for their dismissal during each
worship service!
Are you a lover of children and want to help them develop a love for
Sunday Morning Worship time?? If so, we are always looking for more teams to generate
new ideas.
Wacky Wednesdays
No summer humdrums here! To continue Christian friendships and fun learning
about God, this mid-week activity brings elementary-age kids together for
games, crafts, and surprises. Wacky Wednesdays are June - August at
7 p.m. You don't want to miss it!
Mother's Morning Out (MMO)
Need a few hours to run errands, do some cleaning and laundry, or to just
relax?
Mother's Morning Out at First Baptist Church London can give you a few hours to do any
or all of those things! MMO is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9:00am - 1:00 pm. It provides a fun and save atmosphere for
children ages 1 - 4. For more information, contact Kim Smith at the
church office.
Annual Prayer Service for Youth
In January of each year,
First Baptist Church London dedicates a
service to our children and youth. The sanctuary is filled with
balloons and each one has the name of a child or youth attached to
it. At the end of the service, church members take a balloon and
commit to praying for that child for the entire year. This prayer
service has become a very special yearly event.

Spring Egg-stravaganza
Easter time brings in our annual egg hunt located on
First
Baptist Church London campus. This event usually includes an inflatable
slide, along with a variety of games and activities. This is a great fellowship time for kids and families.
Fall Festival
The annual Fall Festival is one of many ways the First Baptist Church family
ministers to the local community. We offer a safe alternative to Halloween for children
of all ages. In 2007 we provided a variety of kid-friendly
activities, including: carnival games, cake walk, face painting, hay
ride, inflatable slide and much more!
