Children's Programs

Providing quality care and activities for preschoolers and children is a top priority for us at First Baptist Church London. Our little ones receive special attention, instruction, nurturing and love. Each child is surrounded by God's love through caring adults. Through a rich offering of organized programs all year long, we strive to share God's grace, joy, and love, in a meaningful way.

In addition to these programs, see our music opportunities for children and adults of all ages.

Extended Session Nursery

Nursery is available during Sunday School, Morning and Evening Worship Services, along with Wednesday Evening Services, for the following age groups: Bed Babies, Toddlers, 2-year olds, and 3-year olds.

Sunday School / Life Bridge

The goal of Sunday School is to teach our children, on their level, about faith, Jesus, and how to have a personal relationship with Him. We purpose to teach them who Jesus is, what He did for them, and how they can accept Him as their Savior.  In addition to our Nursery for preschoolers, we have classes for all ages.

Kid's Own Worship

Each Sunday, children (ages 4 - 3rd grade) begin the 10:40 worship service in the sanctuary with their parents. Just before the sermon, (usually during a hymn), children meet in the lobby and are escorted to classrooms to begin Kid's Own Worship. Each week there is an object lesson, a time of singing, a craft or a story. The children have a great time, and it allows a better worship time for parents and older children. All you have to do is watch for their dismissal during each worship service!

Are you a lover of children and want to help them develop a love for Sunday Morning Worship time?? If so, we are always looking for more volunteers to generate new ideas.

Need a few hours to run errands, do some cleaning and laundry, or to just relax?
Mother's Morning Out at First Baptist Church London can give you a few hours to do any or all of those things! MMO is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am - 1:00 pm. It provides a fun and safe atmosphere for children ages 1 - 4. For pricing and more information, contact Kim Smith at the church office.

Annual Prayer Service for Youth Balloons

In January of each year, First Baptist Church London dedicates a service to our children and youth. The sanctuary is filled with balloons and each one has the name of a child or youth attached to it. At the end of the service, church members take a balloon and commit to praying for that child for the entire year. This prayer service has become a very special yearly event.
