Missions is a very important part of First Baptist Church London!

Angel Tree Christmas Party

Angel TreeAngel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of inmates with the love of Christ. Each year at Christmastime, volunteers from First Baptist purchase gifts for every Laurel County child that has a parent in prison. We then host a Christmas party where the gifts are given to the children in the name of their prisoner-parent. Through Angel Tree, these children feel a parent's love, despite their absence. This is a wonderful outreach program and a unique way to share the love of Christ with these families.

Laurel Village

Laurel Village opened its doors in 2000. Our ministry started in January of 2001. We have had several members in residence there who have formed the backbone for the ministry. Presently we have five or more attending weekly, with the peak attendance in the teens. Residents are very appreciative of the effort. We meet in the Florida room on the second floor.

Faith-In-Action

This is a program of The Bennett Center that provides free non-medical services.  Many elderly and disabled individuals in Laurel County need your help. Make a difference in someone's life - VOLUNTEER 1-3 hours weekly or monthly. If you want to volunteer to help others or NEED HELP from a volunteer, contact Mary Lou Wood. Brochures are located in the back of sanctuary. Remember actions speaker louder than words!
