Pastor Gregg and his wife Marilyn joined FBC London in June 2017. “First Baptist has a rich heritage of Gospel ministry and has experienced great things in the past,” said Curtis. “I believe that God will do even greater things as, together, we build upon a great foundation and tradition.” Pastor Gregg and Marilyn are from Elizabethtown, KY, and have served churches in Indiana, Iowa, Colorado, Canada, and Kentucky. He has also served on the mission field overseas in Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico. Pastor Gregg’s education began at the University of Louisville with a B. He also received a Master of Theology from Campbellsville University. He then received his Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. He also did several post graduate studies in Church Leadership at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Pastor Gregg and Marilyn have three grown children and eight grandchildren.

Glenn Toney

Worship Leader

I’ve been in ministry for over 25 years in one capacity or another – music, preaching, discipleship, etc. The greatest blessing has been to know that I’m where God wants me to be when He wants me to be there! I’m excited about FBC London and what God is doing through the worship ministry here. To see Him work through a transition time is eye opening and motivational, and I’m so blessed to be part of what He’s doing!

I’m privileged to serve with an amazing team of vocalists and musicians who love Jesus and want to make much of Him as we worship and lead others to do the same. The talented folks who make up our Celebration Choir are a great group of people of all ages that love what they do and it’s evident on their faces!

My wife Linda and I, are blessed with a godly daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Zack, and we have 4 beautiful adopted grandchildren and Rebecca is pregnant and due in the fall of this year with number 5!

Galatians 1:10 is my life verse: “Am I now trying to win the approval of God or of man? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Jesse Armstrong

Youth Pastor

We are pleased to have Jesse Armstrong on our FBC staff as our Youth Pastor.  Jesse is no stranger to the FBC family – he has served as a deacon as well as volunteering for many years with our middle and high school students. Jesse and his wife Robyn have one son, Jack.

Tammy Schooley

Tammy Schooley

Financial Administrator

Tammy began working at First Baptist Church in 2008, with the Mother’s Morning Out program. She joined the office staff in 2014, and currently serves as the Financial Administrator and Director of Mother’s Morning Out. Tammy worked for 10 years in the banking industry.

Tammy is a native of London, KY, and resides with her husband and 2 daughters. “I am thankful and blessed to work with the staff and church membership at First Baptist Church. There are so many wonderful people here who are working to see God lifted up in our community.” “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. “ Isaiah 40:31

Susannah Sizemore

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

I am so thankful to be a part of the FBC staff!  My husband Tim and I moved to London in 1997 and joined FBC soon there after.  Living in a town where we had no relatives, the loving people of FBC quickly became our family.  I grew up in Jenkins, KY, then moved to Morehead, KY, in 1991 to pursue a degree in radio/television communications.  Upon graduation from Morehead State University, I began working in television news.  I loved the fast-paced feel of the newsroom, but as my husband and I began our family, I wanted to slow down and have more time for my children.  I worked in the field of public relations for several years, but God eventually led me to join the staff at FBC in 2007, and what a blessing it has been!

If you are looking for a church family, a place to serve, a place to love and be loved, FBC London is where you need to be. Join us this Sunday!

Gary Adamson

Gary Adamson

Choir Director

Gary is a forward thinker, visionary, believer and worshipper of Jesus Christ!  He is also a self-proclaimed horticulturist (and is not afraid to tell you that the doctor diagnosed him with a green thumb to which there is no cure,) culinary artist, and a creative musical prodigy.

Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee – Volunteer country – Gary has always been curious to see what God would do with his hands.  As Deuteronomy 28:8 states, “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you set your hand to do, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”  And over the course of 40 years, this Scripture has proven to demonstrate the power of God’s anointing in his life.

Gary accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age.  Well before his adolescent years, he discovered that he had a musical gift, stating, “God gifted me with the ability to hear music by ear, play the sounds that I heard and then eventually learn to read music with the help of a school teacher, Mrs. Bridge.”  His home church gave him the opportunity to lead the youth and mass choirs, and this enabled him to understand the importance of a unified sound offered up to the Lord.

Gary has spent over 25 years serving at various churches and we are so thankful to have him with us at FBC! Living in London, KY, Gary has quickly adopted the nature of a Kentucky Wildcat… for now!

Kim McQueen

Children's Ministry Director

Kim has been attending First Baptist Church since she was a baby in our nursery! She grew up in the church and was taught and nurtured by its members. At the age of 12, she made a decision to follow Jesus during a revival and was baptized soon after. She was an active member of the youth group and youth choir. While in college, she began working with the children’s ministry. Then later as a young  mother, she became more involved and was a leader in Mission Friends, GA’s, Vacation Bible School and  would volunteer for every event. When the children’s pastor left the church in 2000, she was asked to  join the church staff as the part-time children’s minister and has been joyfully serving for the past 23 years! She is also is the office manager for the London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce.

Kim graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BBA degree in Computer Information Systems.  She worked as a computer programmer until she became a mother and wanted to be a stay-at-home  mom. Kim was married to Randy Smith (who passed away in 2010) and they have 3 children – Brianna, who is married to Adam Fischer; Cameron, who is on the autism spectrum; and Logan. Brianna and Adam have a son, Jet, making Kim a grandmother! Kim remarried in 2024 to Mike McQueen.

Kim’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:6-7. She is a firm believer in the power of prayer to drive out fear and worry and is thankful to be a member of a church who teaches God’s word. Kim stated, “I  consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to love and minister to the children of our church and  pray that I can nurture and guide them to follow Jesus in all that they do.”
