Comfort
Kits
In
the
past
members
of
First
Baptist
Church
have
created
Comfort
Kits.
These
kits
contain
a
variety
of
toiletries
and
are
distributed
to
inmates
being
released
from
the
Laurel
County
Detention
Center.
 Angel
Tree
Christmas
Party
Angel
Tree
is a
ministry
that
reaches
out
to
the
children
of
inmates
with
the
love
of
Christ.
Each
year
at
Christmastime,
volunteers
from
First
Baptist
purchase
gifts
for
every
Laurel
County
child
that
has
a
parent
in
prison.
We
then
host
a
Christmas
party
where
the
gifts
are
given
to
the
children
in
the
name
of
their
prisoner-parent.
Through
Angel
Tree,
these
children
feel
a
parent's
love,
despite
their
absence.
This
is a
wonderful
outreach
program
and
a
unique
way
to
share
the
love
of
Christ
with
these
families.
