The
First
Baptist
Church
Recreational
Center
is
the
culmination
of
dreams
and
visions
that
began
over
20
years
ago
in
the
life
of
this
congregation.
Former
pastors
and
lay
leaders
all
contributed
to
the
formation
of
this
dream,
and
in
November
1998,
it
became
a
reality.
The
Rec
Center
is
open
6
a.m.
- 9
p.m.
daily
and consists
of a
walking
track,
aerobics
room,
adult
fitness
room
and
a
gymnasium.
It
is
open
to
the
public; non-church
members
pay
a
small
fee
of
$25
per
year,
which
is
used
for
equipment
maintenance
and
general
upkeep
of
the
facility.
The Rec
Center
stays
very
busy,
averaging
more
than
1,000
visitors
each
week.
Several
exercise
classes
are
offered
including,
advanced
step
aerobics,
kickboxing,
boot
camp,
basic
step
aerobics,
yoga
stretch
and
body
recall.

adults

all
ages.
Our
class

FUN!" Get
ready
to
sweat
with
a
smile!
Basic
Step
is a
low
impact
workout
that
promotes
and
improves
cardiovascular
fitness,
burns
body
fat,
builds
lean
muscle
mass,
improves
coordination
and
benefits
overall
health
and
well-being.
This
workout
begins
with
an
effective
warm-up
and
ends
with
a
complete
cool
down
and
stretch
for
your
maximum
cardiovascular
and
flexibility
training
using
hand
weights,
and
muscle
firming
and
lengthening
from
the
mat
work.
